ARTHA; A Look at Los Angeles’ Most Exclusive Wellness Sanctuary

ARTHA is a state-of-the-art wellness sanctuary set to open in the heart of West Hollywood once community normalcy and local mandates are lifted. Founder Priyanka Khanna cannot wait to share ARTHA with the community, but her number one priority right now is making sure everyone stays safe and healthy. As a members-only by invitation sanctuary, ARTHA combines ancient wellness practices, modern technology, and cutting-edge therapies to heal and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. Offering ten therapies, with a foundation around yoga and meditation, will allow members and their guests a safe space to focus on their mental health and physical wellness in a diverse and engaging experience.

ARTHA houses the best in-class equipment, teachers, and healers to enhance the comprehensive holistic rejuvenation experience. The goal at ARTHA is to bring everyone’s wellness practices together under one roof offering all the newest and innovative concepts in the world health and fitness. The founders are committed to helping every member find their most meaningful and effective journey to feeling their absolute best.

ARTHA has many amazing instructors waiting to welcome members with open arms. One professional in particular, Aree Khodai will head the position of Chief Yoga Officer (CYO). There, she will be overseeing the programming surrounding yoga, meditation, workshops, guest speakers, and special events. Her path to yoga and the ARTHA family was not a conventional journey though, which has become her mission to inspire others.

Prior to ARTHA, and before even building a huge following as one of Equinox Fitness’ most acclaimed yoga instructors, Aree Khodai spent years in the high stress world of finance. There, she found material prosperity, but emotional deprivation that had a negative impact on her relationships including her marriage. One day, she found her way to her first yoga class during a difficult time. She was immediately confronted and exposed to the reality of her unhealthy habits both with her spirituality and physical wellbeing. It was on her mat that Aree found herself, which proved to be quite transformative in all areas of her life.

She later founded AreesArmy, when one day she was with a friend making mudras in the shape of an “A.” Since that day, Aree has been focused on building a community with yogis of all skill levels. Her main focus is to attack the practice with a “go get ‘em” attitude while borrowing from the U.S. Army, “be all you can be.” The Army opens the doors for everyone to practice yoga and experience freedom of expression in a supportive environment on and off the mat. AreesArmy is about community, unity, diversity, strength, devotion, support, leadership and family. It is a community made up of fitness enthusiasts who have the passion and ability to stretch themselves to their mats edge, all the while maintaining unconditional love and humility.

Keeping the Army ethos safe and sacred is very important to Aree, so her transition to becoming the CYO at ARTHA, was an easy decision. Throughout her yoga journey, her community and following grew because her mantra is something any individual can truly grasp both physically and mentally. The opportunities to partner and collaborate with various people became a frequent and normal occurrence. Although Aree truly appreciates each opportunity that came her way, none of them were as special as the connection she made with the founder Priyanka Khanna. She quickly gravitated to the Khanna family because they live a lifestyle that Aree truly believes in, which is a focus on being present and involved in everything one does.

The Khanna family embodies the Army life! As a leader in her field, Aree felt this new endeavor to head up the CYO position at ARTHA was really meant to be. As Aree has said, “it was magic from the very first meeting and continues to grow more each day. The Khanna’s uphold the same code of ethics as AreesArmy and it was a seamless and truly symbiotic partnership.” Both parties cannot wait for everyone to see this beautiful facility and feel what ARTHA embodies, which is the search for a true meaning in life. AreesArmy will now be exclusively experienced at ARTHA or through private bookings based on availability.
